Our Managing Director Mark Straw has so far endured hundreds of hours of preparation training for the debut Hell on the Humber ultra-marathon approaching in August, and many more hours will be served in the run up to an event which claims to ‘Look Like Heaven – Feel Like Hell!’
The ultra-marathon will put Mark through his bloodthirsty paces as the Humber Bridge clears all traffic and challenges him to 12 hours of stamina, running through the night around a 4 mile circuit of the world famous bridge, and pushing his body to the absolute limit.
All Marks efforts are in the aim to serve an extremely worthy cause – Help for Heroes – giving aid to wounded service men and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.
Hopefully Mark’s own military background will help him summon the nerve to make it through this race – not for the faint hearted!
Please join the rest of us at Abbey Personnel in supporting Mark on his journey to ‘Hell’, by visiting his Just Giving page, and donating anything you can afford to the Help for Heroes foundation
